A Business Restoring & Selling Historic Manorial Titles
The Liberty Hundred is a small business run by Kevin and Emma Norris, Lord and Lady of Blackrod and Scotforth.

As with many relationships Kevin does most of the work in the business and Emma gets the hard job of looking after Kevin and their two boys.
Kevin spent most of his working life working for a large bank but took early retirement. Luckily he did not work in branch banking for long and discovered he had an aptitude for improving processes and productivity.
After retiring he did a variety of things to occupy himself but one Christmas fell into manorialism. Whilst shopping online for a Christmas present for Emma he noticed one of the "Dinner Party" title businesses, "Become Lord and Lady for £29.95". This brought back a childhood dream and many hours of searching later, Kevin found a site that sounded as if they had a legal way in which he could acquire a real lordship.
Four months of nagging Emma and she gave in. When the paperwork arrived things were not good and they realised that they had been conned. No one would help and they lost their money. Kevin not wishing to give in, and conscious that he had talked Emma into it decided to use his own unique method of getting some justice. He spent five months researching the law behind titles so that he could claim titles legally. A cheap web site was set up and the Norris' were in business selling titles legally.
Very quickly Kevin started to here from some fantastic people from all around the world who had a passion for titles and manorialism. From this The Manorial Guild was inspired. Although it has taken far longer than it should have The Guild is almost a reality with a web site due to go online February 2012 just in time for the Diamond Jubilee celebrations for Queen Elizabeth. Most customers have been enthusiastic at the thought of a charitable Guild being set up, so it is hoped that this will be as much of a success as The Liberty Hundred.
In June of this year Kevin decided to employ a London Barrister to check through the law relating to titles to see if he could get a better legal position. Unfortunately the opposite happened and the Barrister confirmed that the law, that both The Liberty Hundred was relying on and that of other manorial title businesses, had in fact all been repealed. Many months later a solution was created which is part elements of law and part process design which is of course Kevin's area of expertise.
So this is where they are, enjoying the business and getting to know some amazing people.
We provide a guarantee in four specific areas:
- We will do sufficient research to identify that a title, in all likelihood, does not have a legal owner, has not been registered or has been used since the date we believe it was last used, up to today's date
- We will ensure that all necessary legal work and notices are undertaken so that you can enjoy your titles without interferance
- If your ownership is challenged, we will deal with the claimant on your behalf
- If a claim does have legal merit, we will advise you, and offer to replace your title with another
- Our titles are protected by a legal ownership devised by us in conjunction with a London Barrister and a Litigation Solicitor with 30 years manorial law experience.
